Technology Unit

The Technology Unit revolves around a state-of-the-art computer network, linking Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management Systems (RMS), and Mobile Computer Terminal (MCT) to provide the most comprehensive and up-to-date information possible for our law enforcement personnel including:

  • Mobile laptops, printers
  • Training of employees in the use of law enforcement programs
  • Researching new technology for use with law enforcement needs
  • Building security system which monitors and controls access within the department
  • Management of the department's network system to include:
    • Department database backups
    • Installation of patches and software upgrades to mission critical equipment
    • Troubleshooting hardware and software related problems
    • Network security of the department's network infrastructure
