Other Information:
Chapter 2, Division 2, Plant City Code, establishes the Code Enforcement Board of the City of Plant City. The Board hears and decides alleged violations of all the codes and ordinances of the City.
In the event that a violator fails to comply with the City's ordinances by the date set by the Board, the Board imposes a fine of up to $250 per day for a 1st violation and $500 per day for a repeat violation.
A certified copy of the order imposing the fine is recorded in the public records, which constitutes a lien not only against the land on which the violation exists, but also any other real or personal property owned by the violator. The City Attorney represents the City by presenting cases before the board.
