Youth Basketball Tri-Star Skills Competition
The Basketball Tri-Star Skills Competition is a free event, co-sponsored by the Optimist Club of Plant City. No preregistration is needed.
The next competition is January 20, 2024.
2024 will be our 51st season hosting the competition.

Event Details
- Held in the Sadye Gibbs Martin Community Center gym, 302 South Maryland Avenue
- Line up on site at 8:45 a.m., competition starts at 9 a.m., ends by 10:30 a.m.
- Teams that play at 9:00 should compete after their game, teams competing at 10:15 should compete before their game.
- Skills demonstrated include passing, dribbling and shooting, with points earned at each activity
- Scoring is for accuracy or speed
- Awards for top 3 in each age group:
- Boys: 8-9, 10-12, 13-15
- Girls 8-9, 10-11, 12-14
Special Team Attendance Competition
The team with the most participants in attendance in uniform will win a free pizza party!
- 100% attendance teams are all automatic winners!
- Tiebreaker if needed: Highest "team total" points scored by the uniformed team members.
