FLAG FOOTBALL SKILLS CHALLENGE
Plant City Parks and Recreation (P.C.P.R.D) Flag Football Skills Challenge is a fun, free event for youth football players ages 6-15 to show their punting, passing, catching and flag-pulling skills. Our first event will be Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the Otis M. Andrews Sports Complex! Otis M. Andrews Sports Complex!
Registration
- An information flyer and registration form will be available in September on request by e-mail to recinfo@plantcitygov.com or by calling 813-659-4255.
- No preregistration is needed - register on site when you compete
- Competition is for age groups 6-7, 8-9. 10-11, 12-13, 14-15 (age as of event day)
- Free event! Co-sponsored by the Plant City Champions for Youth
Event Details
- Next competition is October 12, 2024.
- 2024 will be our first season hosting the skills challenge.
- One attempt at each - punt, pass, flag pull, and three catch attempts - total distance of punt, pass, & catch minus flag pull time combined is your score.
- Scoring is for distance and accuracy (length minus distance away from target line)
- Awards for top three in each age group: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15
- Boys and girls compete separately.
- Tennis/gym shoes or cleats only - no bare feet!
- Registration on arrival at site, competition starts at 8:30 am, ends 10:30 a.m. (PCPRD Flag Football players should compete before or after their game, skills challenge ends at 10:30 a.m.
- Winners announced at 11 a.m.
