1.    Meeting called to order by Mayor Nathan A. Kilton.

2.   Invocation by Pastor Aaron Flug, City Pointe Church followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

3. Oath of Office Administered to Michael S. Sparkman.

4. Oath of Office Administered to William D. Dodson.

5.  Recognitions:

  • 23-255  Presentation of a proclamation recognizing the 2023 Little Miss Plant City Queen and Court.

6.   Public Comments:  Excluding any matter which is (a) scheduled for any legislative public hearing on this agenda; or (b) the subject of any quasi-judicial hearing scheduled or to be scheduled before the City Commission.

8.   Consent Agenda:  Items listed on the consent agenda are considered routine and will be adopted by one motion. The City Commission does not discuss the items on the consent agenda unless discussion is requested by a member of the Commission, City Manager or City Attorney. If so requested, that item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered separately.

  • 23-273  Regular Meeting held May 22, 2023.

  • 23-263  Resolution approving agreement with GeoPoint Surveying, Inc., for the as needed utility locating services, and authorizing the City Manager to execute said agreement on behalf of the City.

  • 23-272  Resolution approving agreements with Wetherington Tractor Service and CTC Disaster Response for Debris Removal Services and authorizing City Manager to execute said agreements on behalf of the City.

  • 23-242  Resolution approving agreement with Evoqua Water Technologies LLC, for supply and delivery of Ferric Sulfate and authorizing the City Manager to execute said agreements on behalf of the City.

  • 23-275  Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute Federally Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement.

  • 23-269  Resolution setting a quasi-judicial public hearing on a resolution approving final plat entitled Park East Phase 1A. (PB-2022-50)

  • 23-270  Resolution setting a public hearing on a resolution for an extension of time to commence alcoholic beverage sales at 103 N. Palmer St.

  • 23-261  Resolution setting a quasi-judicial public hearing on an ordinance for a modification to the Wilder Road and Frazier Gardens Planned Development Districts. (PB-2022-28)
  • 23-264 Resolution setting a quasi-judicial public hearing on an ordinance for a modification to the Coventry Community Unit District. (PB-2023-03)
  • 23-266  Resolution setting a legislative public hearing on an ordinance for map amendment PC/CPA 22-17 located on North Park Road.
  • 23-267  Resolution setting a quasi-judicial public hearing on an ordinance for a modification to the Park Square Community Unit District located on North Park Road. (PB-2023-09)

12.   Adjournment.

ALL PERSONS ARE ADVISED THAT IF A PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE CITY COMMISSION WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT SUCH MEETING, HE OR SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE HE OR SHE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE AMERICAN DISABILITIES ACT, ANY PERSON WITH A DISABILITY REQUIRING REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS MEETING SHOULD CALL THE  CITY CLERK AT (813) 659-4200 AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE  MEETING.

Any invocation that may be offered at the beginning of the City Commission meeting shall be the voluntary offering of a private citizen, to and for the benefit of the City Commission. The views or beliefs expressed by the invocation speaker have not been previously reviewed or approved by the City Commission and do not necessarily represent the religious beliefs or views of the City Commission in part or as a whole. No one is required to attend or participate in the invocation and such decision will have no impact on their right to participate actively in the business of the City Commission. Copies of the policy governing invocations and setting forth the procedure to have a volunteer deliver an invocation are available upon written request submitted to the City Clerk.
