2025 Notice of Election-Group 2

NOTICE

 

NOTICE BY THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF PLANT CITY, FLORIDA, CALLING FOR A REGULAR ELECTION FOR CITY COMMISSIONER, GROUP 2; DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACE FOR SAID ELECTION; AND CERTIFYING THE LIST OF CANDIDATES IN SUCH ELECTION WHOSE NAMES ARE ENTITLED TO APPEAR ON THE BALLOT PURSUANT TO ARTICLE VII, SECTION 5 OF THE CHARTER, AS CODIFIED IN THE PLANT CITY CODE.

          Section 1.  Pursuant to Article VII, Section 5 of the Charter, as codified in the Plant City Code, the City Clerk of the City of Plant City, Florida, does hereby call a regular election to be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for the election of City Commissioner, Group 2.

          Section 2. Early voting shall be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 and Saturday, April 5, 2025 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

          Section 3. The City Commission Chambers of the Nettie Berry Draughon Municipal Building, City Hall, 302 W. Reynolds Street, is hereby designated the polling place for said election, including early voting.

          Section 4.  In accordance with Article VII, Section 5 of the Charter, as codified in the Plant City Code, the City Clerk does hereby certify the list of candidates in such election whose names are entitled to appear on the ballot, together with the name of the office for which election is to be made by such election as follows, to wit:

          Section 5.  This notice shall be published in the Tampa Bay Times, as per Charter and Florida Statutes, which said notice shall contain the time when such election will be held, together with the designation of polling places in the City.
