About Us 
The most visible part of the fire department is the Operations Division. This division is directed toward fire suppression and emergency medical services, which include personnel that respond to a variety of fires, medical and trauma emergencies, and other emergencies which pose a threat to life and property.

Crews working three 24-hour shifts are ready day or night to respond at a moment's notice. The three Battalion Chiefs manage the three shifts that provide fire and emergency coverage to the city from three fire stations. Each 24-hour shift is staffed with a total of sixteen personnel on duty. Fire Rescue administration includes 5 employees based out of Fire Station 1. There is a paramedic ladder at Station 1, a paramedic engine at Station 2, and a paramedic engine at Station 3. Fire Station 1 and Fire Station 2 each have an advance life support (ALS) ambulance for the transport of sick and injured persons. 

Blood Pressure Checks
We offer free blood pressure checks seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may simply stop by one of the stations listed below. 

Station Tours
You can schedule a tour of the fire stations for your scout group, preschool and school class, church group, civic group or if you just want to bring the kids down to see the trucks. It is best to call before and schedule a time and date that would be best for both you and the firefighters.

To schedule a tour you need to call our Administration Office at 813-757-9131, they will need the following information:

• The date and time you would like to visit the station.
• Which station you would like to visit.
• Number of children and their age's.

Please Note: We don't remove a response vehicle from service for tours. Therefore,if you arrive at the station and there is no one in the station, it is because they have been called to an emergency. Please remember our first priority is to assist the citizens of our community in emergency situations. We appreciate your patience.
