2025 Election Qualifying Dates For City Commissioner Group 1 and Group 2

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the City’s Ordinance, the candidate qualifying period to run for City Commissioner, Incumbents Nathan A. Kilton, Group 1 and Jason M. Jones, Group 2, will begin at Noon, February 17, 2025, and end at Noon, February 21, 2025.  

All candidates may qualify for the April 8, 2025, City of Plant City Municipal Election at the Office of the City Clerk located at the following address:

Office hours:   8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.  

It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that the completed qualifying forms and payment are timely received by this office. All qualifying fees and paperwork must be received by the Filing Officer no later than Noon, February 21, 2025.  

Candidate Qualifying packets are available for pickup at the Office of the City Clerk, no appointment is necessary to pick up a packet, however you must make an appointment with the Clerk's Office when ready to submit paperwork and fees to qualify to run.

Please Note: The responsibility of the qualifying/filing officer is ministerial in nature and unable to advise you on your paperwork. Such an official merely examines the face of the qualifying papers presented for completeness. The qualifying officer may not determine whether the contents of papers are accurate. Florida Statutes 99.061(7)(c).
