Solid Waste Service Resumes

The Solid Waste collection schedule was impacted by the projected path of Hurricane Dorian. Solid waste and recycling services were suspended Monday 9/2/2019 and Tuesday 9/3/2019. Full service resumed Wednesday 9/3/2019 city-wide for yard waste and regularly scheduled recycling for our residential customers. Regularly scheduled residential garbage and recycling collection has also resumed. We will service garbage from Monday 9/2/2019 and Tuesday 9/3/2019 on your next service day, Thursday 9/5/2019 or Friday 9/6/2019. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

YARD DEBRIS INFORMATION:
Avoid stacking debris by utility poles, under power lines, on top of water meters or other water connections, by fire hydrants or vehicles, next to mailboxes or fences, or on storm drains.

Do not place debris in the street.

Separate garbage into the following categories:

Garbage – must be placed in bags, not loose; bags may be in cans, each weighing under 40 pounds.

Household goods – furniture and carpet

Vegetative – tree limbs and trunks

Appliances – refrigerators, water heaters, televisions and computers

If debris is not properly prepared, delays in collection and fees may arise.
