Emergency Preparedness

Are you and your family prepared for an emergency? If a public health emergency were to take place right now, would you know what to do to keep you and your family safe?

Public health emergencies include natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, drought, and other occurrences in nature that cause destruction, acts of terrorism, and disease outbreaks.

If you or someone in your family has special needs, signing up BEFORE an emergency even occurs is imperative in order to receive appropriate help and accommodations. You or someone in your family may qualify for the County's Special Needs Shelter Program. You MUST sign up in ADVANCE in order to find out if you qualify for the program and for special accommodations to be made.

If you think you might qualify, please complete the Special Needs Application, and send back to the address highlighted at the bottom of the form. Contact information is included on the form and brochure provided below.
