Watering Restrictions Update - Two Day Per Week Watering Begins August 2

The Southwest Florida Water Management District’s Governing Board voted Tuesday, 25 July, to allow the Modified Phase III Water Shortage Order restrictions to expire for our area 1 August 2017.   Plant City returns to two-day-per-week watering and year-round water conservation measures.  Watering restrictions apply to all users of water in the corporate limits of the City and all water sources Sources of water includes: public water systems (City of Plant City), private water systems, wells (to include private property irrigation wells) and surface waters.  City of Plant City watering restrictions apply to in-ground automatic and manual operation irrigation systems and portable, hose-end sprinklers.

City of Plant City watering restrictions are established by adopting and utilizing Southwest Florida Water Management District rules and directives.

Watering restrictions for Unincorporated Hillsborough County are different and separate from the City of Plant City.
