The City has been informed that someone is calling people all over the country stating that he is with the “Plant City Attorney’s Office” and that the City is holding money which he will transfer directly to a bank account upon payment of money. THIS IS A SCAM. This person does not represent the City. The City would never ask for bank account information or that you pay upfront anything to the City as a condition of any payment. Do not give out any financial information or payment to the person calling.
