GIS layers for Google Earth

How to download and install Google Earth and the Engineering Division’s GIS data packet.
  1. Download Google Earth onto your computer. Follow the installation instructions provided by Google Earth to install the system on your computer.
  2. Download of the City Engineering Division's GIS data packet. When prompted, save the data packet to your desktop.
  3. Download of the City Engineering Division’s GIS parcel data packet. When prompted, save the parcel data packet to your desktop.
  4. Download of the “Stay Dry” application created by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which will enable you to view flood hazard map information from FEMA’s National Flood Hazard Layer in Google Earth.
  5. Go to your desktop and click on the data packet icon. This should open Google Earth and data layers should be visible on the left side of the screen.
