Join Chef Warren Caterson as he shares kitchen tips, cooking hints, and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking for two. This session concludes with a demo of Chef Warren preparing a healthy entree that anyone can replicate in their own home in less than 15 minutes!

Master Gardener: Bulbs for Florida Landscapes

This month's gardening program focuses on rhizomes and tubers suitable for zones 9-10. The cultivation and care of the plants and cuttings and examples from the Master Gardener's yard are included in the talk. Participants are invited to bring a plant for the plant exchange afterwards!

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Sign up for assistance begins at 10:00 AM and continues until the 25 available slots for that day are filled. Customers desiring assistance should review this list of recommended documents to bring to work with tax prep volunteers. This program is offered in cooperation with the Free Tax Preparation Program of Hillsborough County and coordinated through the United Way Suncoast.
